The 2026 Lake Country Art Show, hosted by the Graham Art Guild, will be held at the Fourth Corner Mall, 503 4th Street, Graham, TX 76450. Paid-up members of local art clubs or guilds are encouraged to enter. The entry fee is $50 for up to three pieces, with additional entries at $25 each (up to three more). Artwork must be original, completed within the last two years, and not previously shown in the Lake Country Art Show. The maximum size is 48x48 inches. All pieces must be framed or gallery-wrapped canvas or board and wired for hanging—no sawtooth hangers or masking tape. Although care is taken during installation, the art guild is not responsible for accidental damage. A tag must be provided for each piece at registration.
Categories include Oil & Acrylic, Pencil/Pen/Pastel, Watercolor, 3D (stand-alone pieces), Mixed Media, Digital Works (including Photography), and Classwork (must be marked as such and is eligible for ribbon only).
Important dates include
Registration and Take-In on Saturday, May 30 from 10 am–4 pm;
Show Dates June 3–20, Monday–Saturday from 10 am–5:30 pm;
and Reception/Awards and Art Pickup on Saturday, June 20 from 1–3 pm.
This year’s judge is Mary Gaerlan Schmidt, a mixed media collage artist known for incorporating ancient metals, found objects, rare paper, textiles, watercolor, liquid acrylics, charcoal, and crushed glass, with gallery representation in both Texas and Wisconsin and roots in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Lake Country Art Show Announces 2025 Award Winners and Exhibition Details
Graham, TX – June 9, 2025 – The 2025 Lake Country Art Show opened with 41 diverse entries, celebrating the creativity of regional artists across multiple mediums. Hosted by the Graham Art Guild and held in conjunction with the Graham Food Truck Championship, the exhibit is on display at the Fourth Corner Mall, 401 4th Street. The public is invited to experience the Lake Country Art Show now through June 21. Admission is free, and all are encouraged to support and celebrate local creativity. Stop in and vote for the your People’s Choice Award.
The show has been a long standing tradition in Graham community for over 75 years. Artists from local art clubs and guilds are encouraged to enter each year, contributing to a vibrant and varied showcase that continues to be a highlight of the summer arts scene in Young County and beyond.
This year’s juror was Diane Brown of Aledo, TX, a lifelong artist with a passion for drawing and watercolor. She holds a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Art from Bethany College and has illustrated five children’s books, with more in the works. Her whimsical work can be seen at ruralgirlgraphics.com.
Brown praised the show’s high caliber, saying, “The talent here is truly exceptional. It was a joy and an honor to experience so many thoughtful, beautifully executed pieces.”
